Korean actor Bae Yong-joon is set to gain a significant stake in a Japanese company listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange. Bae is an actor-businessman said to have one of the largest securities assets among local celebrities. He also has a significant fan base in Japan, where is he referred to as Yon-sama. According to industry sources, BOF International has agreed to be merged into the Osaka Exchange-listed Japanese firm Digital Adventure Inc. BOF International is a Japanese subsidiary of Korea's Keyeast Co., a celebrity management and visual contents maker whose largest shareholder is Bae, who owns 34.64 percent of the company. Digital Adventure is a Tokyo-based digital contents distributor founded in 1971 with total assets of 3.786 billion yen ($40.9 million). For the last fiscal year, the company generated revenues of 4.17 billion yen, operating profits of 343 million yen and a net profit of 324 million yen. As part of the deal, Bae and Keyeast, who holds all of the 129,850 shares of BOF International will receive equivalent shares of Digital Adventure. Although the details of the deal have not yet been finalized, Keyeast officials said that the deal is likely to see the company gain a significant number of Digital Adventure's stocks. In addition to Digital Adventure's shares, Keyeast is hoping to gain access to the Japanese company's sales network to further its Japanese operations, which consists of distributing Bae memorabilia. The merger will also allow tasks BOF International had been contracting out, such as operating the website, organizing events and producing souvenirs bearing images of Bae, to be carried out solely by Digital Adventure. *Compete with a great actor in “TWSSG” affected the result positively. What kind of an actor was BYJ?

Yong Joon heong (sue: heong means big brother) is a professional actor. He will handle anything well, like business. His acting techniques are excellent and I really need to learn a lot from him.

*Do you have any stories to share with us while you were acting with him? (thinking)
He recently had surgery, because he had gotten injured during the action filming. Originally, a stunt man was planned to land down after Yong Joon heong appeared, but a wire was cut, and he landed on heong’s shoulder. I believe it was very painful, but he returned for filming right after he fixed his wig and customs in the make-up truck. It made me think that he has a professional spirit.

*What kind of person is Lee Jiah, who debuted with you in the “TWSSG”?
She was a new comer as well, but she was good at acting and had a good personality. She acted very well even though Suzini had many lines and had to show different characteristics. Actually, she is quiet compared to Suzini’s active personality.

*What did you learn from such a great actor when you were acting with him?

I gained a lot, but the most precious thing was that I’ve gotten to know many seniors. If the filming period was short, then it might have ended up as a senior nim, not heong nim. But the filming period was long and we’ve gone though hardships, so it resulted in a very deep relationship.

*Who encouraged and gave you advice at the filming sites?
It was Yong Joon heong. He treated me very well, like a brother. He always gave me advice when we were appearing at the same scenes. We continuously try to keep in touch through the phone by calling several times a day.

*There is a rumor that you two were associated with each other (laugh).

There was a rumor like that once. Ha, ha, ha. He doesn’t have a younger brother and I don’t have a brother, so it fitted well in several ways. My father even thinks of him as his son.*I think there is chemistry between you two. You’re right (laugh).
He likes to take pictures, and he got me interested in taking pictures. Eventually I began carrying the camera around. I like to draw paintings, and he said that he would like to start painting. He runs his own business and I have had experiences in the States. My father is experienced due to his work in the States. We talked business together. เมื่อต้องประกบกับนักแสดงที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในละคร ศึกตำนาน ซึ่งส่งผลทางด้านดีอยางมาก ช่วยเล่าให้ฟังหน่อยว่าเบยงจุนเป็นนักแสดงแบบไหน พี่ชายยงจุนเป็นนักแสดงมืออาชีพมากครับ เขาจัดการกับทุกเรื่องเหมือนกับเป็นธุรกิจของเขาเป็นอย่างดี เทคนิคทางด้านการแสดงของเขาก้อยอดเยี่ยมมากๆ และผมก้ยังต้องเรียนรู้จากเขาอีกมากครับ

ในช่วงที่ต้องถ่ายทำละครร่วมกับเขา คุณมีเรื่องอะไรที่จะเล่าให้เราฟังได้ไหม (ทำท่าคิด) พี่เขาพึ่งเข้ารับการผ่าตัดมานะครับเพราะเขาได้รับบาดเจ็บจากการถ่ายทำ แต่เดิมตามคิดสตันท์แมนจะต้องตกลงมาหลังจากที่พี่เขาเข้าฉาก แต่ปรากฎว่าเส้นลวดที่ขึงไว้ขาด นักแสดงคนนั้นเลยตกลงมาที่ไหล่พี่ยงจุนพอดี ผมคิดว่ามันน่าจะเจ็บมากนะ แต่พี่เขากลับมาถ่ายทำต่อทันทีหลังจากที่กลับไปตกแต่งทรงผมและเสื้อผ้าเครื่องแต่งกายในรถเทรลเลอร์ มันทำให้ผมรู้สึกได้ว่าเขามีจิตวิญญาณของนักแสดงมืออาชีพจริงๆ

แล้วลีจีอาที่เดบิวทืเข้ามาพร้อมๆกับคุณล่ะ เป็นคนแบบไหน เธอก็เป้นนักแสดงหน้าใหม่เหมือนกันกับผม แต่เธอแสดงได้ดีมากและมีบุคลลิกท่าทางที่ดีอีกด้วย เอแสดงได้ดีถึงแม้ว่าบทพูดของซูจินีนั้นเยอะมากและจะต้องแสดงบุคคลิกที่หลากหลายมาก จริงๆแล้วเอเป็นคนเงียบๆนะเมื่อเทียบกับซูจินี

คุณได้เรียนรู้อะไรบ้างจากการประกบกับนักแสดงใหญ่แบบนี้ ผมได้เรียนรู้เยอะมากครับ แต่ที่สำคัญที่สุดคือ ผมได้รู้จักกับรุ่นพี่ในวงการแสดงหลายคนเลยทีเดียว ถ้าระยะเวลาการถ่ายทำสั้นกว่านี้ ผมคงจะลงเอยโดยการที่ได้รู้จักกับรุ่นพี่ที่ไม่ใช่แบบพี่ชายแบบนี้ แต่เพราะการถ่ายทำยาวนานมากและเราได้ผ่านความยากลำบากมาด้วยกัน จึงส่งผลให้ความสัมพันธ์ของพวกเราลึกซึ้งมากยิ่งขึ้น
ใครเป็นคนที่มักจะให้กำลังใจและให้คำแนะนำแก่คุณในเวลาถ่ายทำ พี่ยงจุนครับ เขาปฎิบัติกับผมอย่างดีเหมือนผมเป้นน้องชายของเขาเลยครับ เขามักจะให้คำแนะนำกับผมเสมอๆเวลาที่เราต้องเข้าฉากด้วยกัน เรายังคงติดต่อกันทางโทรศัพท์นะครับ เราโทรหากันบ่อยครับท วันละหลายครั้ง

Yonsama, December Spent on CM Filming,Italian Menswear Brand Model!

“BYJ’s appearance was the president’s wish from the very first casting” (Hyeongji Apparel spokesperson)It was announced that Yonsama’s new CM will be the Arnaldo Bassini Italian brandfor Hyeongji Apparel.This will be the first foray into menswear for the firm which has specialized in women’s wear up to now. There is no room for failure.

“We requested his appearance because of his complete self-management and confidence, the professionalism in acting skills and his humanity which we thought match with our luxury brand,” said the previously quoted source in giving the reason as to why they decided to use him.“

YJ has been contracted for one year. Filming is scheduled for mid-December. The stores will open in Korea beginning in January 2009. The goal is to expand to 100 stores in Korea,” as expectations for Yonsama are huge.

The company is enthusiastic about contributing to society just as YJ is. They have pl*aced donation boxes in their stores and contribute a portion of their sales to charitable organizations. That policy may have been the decision to use Yonsama in their CM.Yonsama’s CM appearances for Kyeongnam and The Face Shop still continue in Korea.

Bae Yong-joon is highest-paid actorA phenomenal Korean star in Japan, Bae Yong-joon is the highest paid actor in Korea, raking in 250 million won ($171,600) per episode, an unusual release of the details of actors' payrolls showed this week.

A seminar on Korean television drama took place on Monday in Mok-dong, Seoul, hosted by the association of Korean television drama production directors to tell the difficulty in footing production costs.Broadcasting stations and production companies have been raising concerns about costly payments to stars in recent years. They contend the payments create serious difficulties in financing television programs.At the event, details of the payments for popular actors and actresses during the last two years were revealed by professor Kim Jin-woong of Sun Moon University.

Bae Yong-joon was found the most expensive star of all while he starred in the autumn hit of 2007, "The Legend." The number, however, is an approximation, as Bae was paid in a form of splitting profits between his management company and the production firm, Kim Jin-woong said.Bae's estimated pay, however, is nearly double that of another actor Park Shin-yang, whose payment scuffle with a production agency drew attention in July. Park had filed a suit against the production to fully pay up the agreed 155 million won per each of the extended episodes of SBS "Money's Warfare" in 2007.Other highly paid actors included Song Seung-heon, who raked in 70 million won per episode of "East of Eden," along with Kwon Sang-woo of "Bad Love," Park Shin-yang of "The Painter of the Wind" and Lee Jung-jae of "Air City," each receiving 50 million won per episode.Actresses were slightly lower in income, with Ko Hyun-joung of "H.I.T." and Song Hye-kyo of "The World That They Live In" each getting 35 million won per episode. ."Among newcomers to the acting scene, the highest paid star was singer-turned-actor Yoon Kye-sang who starred in "Who Are You?" and raked in 18 million per episode. Following Yoon was Jang Geun-suk of the latest hit "Beethoven Virus," earning 12 million per episode.These lucrative payments were a sharp surge from just several years ago, where in 2001, the highest payment per episode was 4 million and 5 million won by top star Kang Soo-yeon for her work on "Ladies of the Palace."
