Jang Na Ra will receive 'Today’s Young Artist Award'.

‘Yonsama’, Bae Yong Joon became a representative of Korea’s culture.

On the 18th, Bae Yong Joon will receive the Cultural Award at The Cultural Day of 2008 ceremony which will be held in Cheongju, Choongbuk province. He was acknowledged due to his extensive contribution to introduce the Korean culture; he will receive an award at The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism event which is organized by the ministry. ‘Hallyu Star’, Jang Nara will receive ‘Today’s Young Artist Award’ due to her role as a cultural bridge between Korea and China.

This is the first time to receive The Cultural Award as a Hallyu Star. Last year, Lee Young Ae of Daejanggeum received the Cultural Medal due to her contribution to the development of broadcasting. On 2005, when the event of ‘The Friendship Year of Korea and Japan, 2005’ was held, the former secretary of The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Jeong Dong Chae publicly said that he was willing to give The Cultural Award to a Hallyu Star. Bae Yong Joon will finally accomplish that this year following Lee Young Ae.

He only received Today’s Young Artist Award in the film category since he became a Hallyu Star. This award was given by The Ministry of Culture and Tourism on 2005, which is the same award that Jang Nara will receive. This Cultural Award officially will acknowledge Bae Yong Joon as the representative of Korea and Hallyu.

Bae Yong Joon came up on the throne as a ‘Hallyu Star’ through the drama, “Winter Love Song”. “Winter Love Song” was broadcasted in Japan from early of 2003 with the title of “Winter Sonata (冬のソナタ) and it brought out ‘the boom of Winter Love Song’. The desire of the Japanese to learn and tour Korea, boomed locally, and it generated enormous economic effects.

“The Cultural Day of 2008” will be held at the Art Hall in Cheongju at 4:00 pm on the 18th. ‘The Cultural Day’ award ceremony is held at different pIaces in the country every year, and it will be held in Cheongju this time.

after BOF issued that notice, those japanese fans who have already signed up to attend joomuchi and dalbi's wedding on 18th oct are now feeling abit hesitant and unsure.

heard that there're about 800 people going. it's also not quite possible to cancel now. these fans have been described as 'stalking' by the other fans on JOB, this has caused them to be very uncomfortable.

understand that joomuchi has already said he would be donating part of the fans' red packets to some japanese-korean charity organization. heard that the venue is more than two hours' drive from seoul, at a health farm or something. japanese fans attending the wedding will be arranged to gather at another hall (somewhere else?), and will be observing the wedding ceremony through the projector screen.

it's hard to tell if yong joon would show up...

*bb: when i heard about the number of fans turning up, i was thinking to myself he probably won't show. but if the fans are gonna be brought to another place, then it's possible that our man may turn up...

shrugs... guess it's anyone's guess...

i only wish that he's able to just do whatever he feels like doing. if he wants to go, i hope he gets to go. if he doesn't want to go, then don't go... hehe!

Before this CF, Mass Message had never particpated in any joint work with any other CF making companies. So this time was an "exception" for them. They've sent a "Super Grade A' production team to assist in the making of this CF.

The locale of this CF was in a famous scenery place located in a peaceful village with a distance of six-hour road trip from Seoul. The temperature varies tremendously between day and night and the sun light changes quickly during the daytime. So the shooting needed to compete with the time.

During the break time, BYJ had lunch with the staff and he brought an airgun with him to set. He didn't put on airs at all.

The screen only showed him, the lone actor, serene, tranquil and elegant. Just within inches behind the camera were over a hundred people, and all of them held their breaths and there was total silence on the set. This, was the set filming the handsome BYJ.

After 4pm, the sun set hastily, we had to finish the shooting. BYJ was so friendly to take pictures with all the staff, both one on one and group pictures. Even thought it was really a messy occasion with tens of cameras shooting at him, BYJ still showed his perfectly classic smile to all the people without reserve.

After the filming wrapped up for the day, BYJ stayed behind and played soccer with the cameraman for half an hour.

There was a traditional Korean restaurant near the Hotel Villa. When we were dining in it after shooting, BYJ's car was driven by quietly and disappeared at the end of the twisted road. I think maybe BYJ had already been in sleep with a satisfied smile on his face.
