Fittingly to the title of the zennith as well as the beginning of the Hallyu hot wind, new work of him, who is quietly undergoing rehabilitation ar present, is getting attention not only domestically but also from entire Asia.
BYJ showed off strong presence with drama 'TWSSG' in the last year, and recently entered ambitious walk toward coming back to acting. Drama 'Devine Water Drop', originally based on a popular Japanese comic, is the one that gathers expectation as his come back work at present.
A source at BYJ's agency, BOF, told on 26, "We are examining the 'Devine Water Drop' as his next work for resuming acting activity, " and "We are hoping that to become a full scale come back work for his acting after the animation 'WLS' where he will play voice acting."
As to the 'Devine Water Drop', every time it became a subject of discussion for making into a drama domestically all the while, BYJ's name appeared along with it as a main actor many times. However, as there was no follow up news, it has been remaining simply as a wish list by production company or his fans.
However, a source at his agency suggested that appearance of BYJ in the 'Devine Water Drop', which had not become concrete all the while, has been pretty much progressed recently. In particular, as they hinted a possibility that he could set out as a producer of the drama along with his agency, making it to attract more interests.
Saying that "At present, discussion on the copyright of the drama is almost reached at a stage of conclusion", this source confirmed that "Although competition has been fierce all the while among domestic companies for purchase of copyright of this comic, it is true that we are discussing it as the first priority."
The Comic 'Devine Water Drop' is the work that is attracting huge popularity domestically also along with wind boom that is blowing in entire region in Asia. Brother and sister of Akitatashi, original creator of the comic, who are known as BYJ's enthusiastic fans, have shown extraordinary love to an extent to take him as a model for a main male character, Tomine Itsei, in the comic.
In particular, BYJ is a wine mania as recognized by himself as well as others. Saying that 'His knowledge of and love for the wind excel pretty good sommeliers", a person close to BYJ hinted that "The point that the Comic 'Devine Water Drop' used wine as its subject could have worked as a bit attraction for him more than anything."
On the other hand, as will for BYJ's appearance in and production of the 'Devine Water Drop' is becoming visualized, a rumor floats around in some circle that even a wind posting his name will be marketed.
That is 'BYJ Wine' taking after BYJ's English name. In overseas, popular stars run 'wineries', that are wine farms' and, further on, would put out products with their names themselves as brands.
However, regarding the rumor of 'BYJ WIne', a source at his agency strongly denied saying "There is not an item at all that has been discussed yet."
Having undergone a shoulder surgery sometime ago, after coming back home (Korea) quietly, BYJ is known to be in full swing in preparation for voice acting for the amination 'WLS', along with rehabilitation therapy as he quietly stays home at present.
