*Compete with a great actor in “TWSSG” affected the result positively. What kind of an actor was BYJ?

Yong Joon heong (sue: heong means big brother) is a professional actor. He will handle anything well, like business. His acting techniques are excellent and I really need to learn a lot from him.

*Do you have any stories to share with us while you were acting with him? (thinking)
He recently had surgery, because he had gotten injured during the action filming. Originally, a stunt man was planned to land down after Yong Joon heong appeared, but a wire was cut, and he landed on heong’s shoulder. I believe it was very painful, but he returned for filming right after he fixed his wig and customs in the make-up truck. It made me think that he has a professional spirit.

*What kind of person is Lee Jiah, who debuted with you in the “TWSSG”?
She was a new comer as well, but she was good at acting and had a good personality. She acted very well even though Suzini had many lines and had to show different characteristics. Actually, she is quiet compared to Suzini’s active personality.

*What did you learn from such a great actor when you were acting with him?

I gained a lot, but the most precious thing was that I’ve gotten to know many seniors. If the filming period was short, then it might have ended up as a senior nim, not heong nim. But the filming period was long and we’ve gone though hardships, so it resulted in a very deep relationship.

*Who encouraged and gave you advice at the filming sites?
It was Yong Joon heong. He treated me very well, like a brother. He always gave me advice when we were appearing at the same scenes. We continuously try to keep in touch through the phone by calling several times a day.

*There is a rumor that you two were associated with each other (laugh).

There was a rumor like that once. Ha, ha, ha. He doesn’t have a younger brother and I don’t have a brother, so it fitted well in several ways. My father even thinks of him as his son.*I think there is chemistry between you two. You’re right (laugh).
He likes to take pictures, and he got me interested in taking pictures. Eventually I began carrying the camera around. I like to draw paintings, and he said that he would like to start painting. He runs his own business and I have had experiences in the States. My father is experienced due to his work in the States. We talked business together. เมื่อต้องประกบกับนักแสดงที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในละคร ศึกตำนาน ซึ่งส่งผลทางด้านดีอยางมาก ช่วยเล่าให้ฟังหน่อยว่าเบยงจุนเป็นนักแสดงแบบไหน พี่ชายยงจุนเป็นนักแสดงมืออาชีพมากครับ เขาจัดการกับทุกเรื่องเหมือนกับเป็นธุรกิจของเขาเป็นอย่างดี เทคนิคทางด้านการแสดงของเขาก้อยอดเยี่ยมมากๆ และผมก้ยังต้องเรียนรู้จากเขาอีกมากครับ

ในช่วงที่ต้องถ่ายทำละครร่วมกับเขา คุณมีเรื่องอะไรที่จะเล่าให้เราฟังได้ไหม (ทำท่าคิด) พี่เขาพึ่งเข้ารับการผ่าตัดมานะครับเพราะเขาได้รับบาดเจ็บจากการถ่ายทำ แต่เดิมตามคิดสตันท์แมนจะต้องตกลงมาหลังจากที่พี่เขาเข้าฉาก แต่ปรากฎว่าเส้นลวดที่ขึงไว้ขาด นักแสดงคนนั้นเลยตกลงมาที่ไหล่พี่ยงจุนพอดี ผมคิดว่ามันน่าจะเจ็บมากนะ แต่พี่เขากลับมาถ่ายทำต่อทันทีหลังจากที่กลับไปตกแต่งทรงผมและเสื้อผ้าเครื่องแต่งกายในรถเทรลเลอร์ มันทำให้ผมรู้สึกได้ว่าเขามีจิตวิญญาณของนักแสดงมืออาชีพจริงๆ

แล้วลีจีอาที่เดบิวทืเข้ามาพร้อมๆกับคุณล่ะ เป็นคนแบบไหน เธอก็เป้นนักแสดงหน้าใหม่เหมือนกันกับผม แต่เธอแสดงได้ดีมากและมีบุคลลิกท่าทางที่ดีอีกด้วย เอแสดงได้ดีถึงแม้ว่าบทพูดของซูจินีนั้นเยอะมากและจะต้องแสดงบุคคลิกที่หลากหลายมาก จริงๆแล้วเอเป็นคนเงียบๆนะเมื่อเทียบกับซูจินี

คุณได้เรียนรู้อะไรบ้างจากการประกบกับนักแสดงใหญ่แบบนี้ ผมได้เรียนรู้เยอะมากครับ แต่ที่สำคัญที่สุดคือ ผมได้รู้จักกับรุ่นพี่ในวงการแสดงหลายคนเลยทีเดียว ถ้าระยะเวลาการถ่ายทำสั้นกว่านี้ ผมคงจะลงเอยโดยการที่ได้รู้จักกับรุ่นพี่ที่ไม่ใช่แบบพี่ชายแบบนี้ แต่เพราะการถ่ายทำยาวนานมากและเราได้ผ่านความยากลำบากมาด้วยกัน จึงส่งผลให้ความสัมพันธ์ของพวกเราลึกซึ้งมากยิ่งขึ้น
ใครเป็นคนที่มักจะให้กำลังใจและให้คำแนะนำแก่คุณในเวลาถ่ายทำ พี่ยงจุนครับ เขาปฎิบัติกับผมอย่างดีเหมือนผมเป้นน้องชายของเขาเลยครับ เขามักจะให้คำแนะนำกับผมเสมอๆเวลาที่เราต้องเข้าฉากด้วยกัน เรายังคงติดต่อกันทางโทรศัพท์นะครับ เราโทรหากันบ่อยครับท วันละหลายครั้ง
มีข่าวลือว่าคุณสองคนคบหากันอยุ่นะ (หัวเราะ) เคยมีข่าวลือแบบนั้นครั้งหนึ่งนะ เขาไม่มีน้องชายส่วนผมก็ไม่มีพี่ชาย มันเลยพอเหมาะพอเจาะกันพอดีในหลายๆเรื่อง พ่อของผมยังคิดว่าเขาเป็นลุกชายอีกคนเลยนะ ผมคิดว่ามีปฎิกริยาเคมีระหว่างคุณสองคนนะ ถูกแล้วครับ คุณพูดถุก (หัวเราะ) เขาชอบถ่ายรูปและเขาทำให้ผมหันมาสนใจเรื่องการถ่ายรูปเช่นเดียวกับเขา ผมพึ่งเริ่มพกกล้องไปไหนมาไหนด้วยเมื่อไม่นานนี้เอง ผมชอบวาดรุปและเขาบอกผมว่าเขาอยากที่จะเริ่มหัดวาดภาพบ้าง เขาดำเนินธุรกิจของเขาอยู่และตัวผมเองก้มีประสบการณืด้านธุรกิจตอนที่อยู่อเมริกา คุณพ่อของผมท่านก็มีประสบการณืเชี่ยวชาญทางด้านธุรกิจเพราะท่านทำธุรกิจในอเมริกา พวกเราจึงมักจะพูดคุยกันเรื่องธุรกิจ ดูเหมือนว่าพวกเราจะชอบอะไรที่คล้ายๆกันและคงมีปฎิกริยาเคมีระหว่างเรา พวกเราดื้อเหมือนัน (ฮ่าๆๆๆ) นั่นคือเหตุผลที่ว่าทำไมเราต้องทะเลาะกันในบางครั้งนะครับ

Yonsama, December Spent on CM Filming,Italian Menswear Brand Model!

“BYJ’s appearance was the president’s wish from the very first casting” (Hyeongji Apparel spokesperson)It was announced that Yonsama’s new CM will be the Arnaldo Bassini Italian brandfor Hyeongji Apparel.This will be the first foray into menswear for the firm which has specialized in women’s wear up to now. There is no room for failure.

“We requested his appearance because of his complete self-management and confidence, the professionalism in acting skills and his humanity which we thought match with our luxury brand,” said the previously quoted source in giving the reason as to why they decided to use him.“

YJ has been contracted for one year. Filming is scheduled for mid-December. The stores will open in Korea beginning in January 2009. The goal is to expand to 100 stores in Korea,” as expectations for Yonsama are huge.

The company is enthusiastic about contributing to society just as YJ is. They have pl*aced donation boxes in their stores and contribute a portion of their sales to charitable organizations. That policy may have been the decision to use Yonsama in their CM.Yonsama’s CM appearances for Kyeongnam and The Face Shop still continue in Korea.

Bae Yong-joon is highest-paid actorA phenomenal Korean star in Japan, Bae Yong-joon is the highest paid actor in Korea, raking in 250 million won ($171,600) per episode, an unusual release of the details of actors' payrolls showed this week.

A seminar on Korean television drama took place on Monday in Mok-dong, Seoul, hosted by the association of Korean television drama production directors to tell the difficulty in footing production costs.Broadcasting stations and production companies have been raising concerns about costly payments to stars in recent years. They contend the payments create serious difficulties in financing television programs.At the event, details of the payments for popular actors and actresses during the last two years were revealed by professor Kim Jin-woong of Sun Moon University.

Bae Yong-joon was found the most expensive star of all while he starred in the autumn hit of 2007, "The Legend." The number, however, is an approximation, as Bae was paid in a form of splitting profits between his management company and the production firm, Kim Jin-woong said.Bae's estimated pay, however, is nearly double that of another actor Park Shin-yang, whose payment scuffle with a production agency drew attention in July. Park had filed a suit against the production to fully pay up the agreed 155 million won per each of the extended episodes of SBS "Money's Warfare" in 2007.Other highly paid actors included Song Seung-heon, who raked in 70 million won per episode of "East of Eden," along with Kwon Sang-woo of "Bad Love," Park Shin-yang of "The Painter of the Wind" and Lee Jung-jae of "Air City," each receiving 50 million won per episode.Actresses were slightly lower in income, with Ko Hyun-joung of "H.I.T." and Song Hye-kyo of "The World That They Live In" each getting 35 million won per episode. ส่วนนักแสดงหญิงมีค่าตอบแทนต่ำกว่าดาราชายเล็กน้อย โดยที่ โค ฮุน จุง จากเรื่อง H.I .T และ ชอง เฮ เคียว จากเรื่อง the world they live in ต่างได้รับค่าตอบแทนคนละ 35 ล้านวอนต่อตอน ซอน เย จิน ซึ่งแสดงในละครเรื่องspotlightได้รับค่าตอบแทนประมาณ 20 ล้านวอนต่อตอน ในบรรดานักแสดงหน้าใหม่ ดาราที่มีค่าตอบแทนสูงที่สุด ได้แก่นักร้องที่ผันตัวมาเป็นนักแสดงอย่าง ยูน เค ซัง จากละครเรื่อง who are you? ซึ่งได้รับค่าตอบแทน 18 ล้านวอนต่อละครหนึ่งตอน ตามมาด้วยจัง คึน ซอก จากละครล่าสุดของเขาเรื่องBeethoven virus โดยมีค่าตอบแทนอยู่ที่12 ล้านวอนต่อตอน

YJ Loves Ramen

We stormed the Shibuya ramen restaurant that BYJ dined at during his Japan visit in June! What did that ramen that YJ polished off in the middle of the night taste like?

“Today was amazing! We had more than 70 guests whom we think were BYJ fans!”

The handsome restaurant manager told us that as he moved about busily. This is the Men no Bou Toride pig bone broth ramen restaurant that suddenly became known for YJ’s visit. The restaurant manager trained at Kyushu’s Ippudo and in October 2001 opened this restaurant in Shibuya. It is now a popular restaurant amongst people in the know.

YJ visited the restaurant at midnight and stayed for about two hours. Because YJ visited the restaurant in the middle of the night, we felt it was our chance to ask rather personal questions about YJ!

First, we asked where YJ sat and then we were led to a table that could seat 10 people. “He sat in the seat at the back.”

During that moment, the tension we felt as media on assignment immediately increased. We apologize to family but, hey, we decided to sit ourselves down at the same table! This is what it felt like to sit in a premium seat. It was just a chair, but we felt that we benefited a bit from it.Now, let’s order. “Please give us the same as what YJ ate.”

To that we added bottled beer, two orders of gyoza, rice balls (with cod roe and mayonnaise sauce) and ramen with “seaweed and half boiled egg.” YJ is said to have also eaten strawberry sherbet,

but since that was a seasonal dish* it was no longer available…cries.But there were two plates of gyoza! Even during last months article on Raitei we came to believe that YJ can eat a considerable amount. To endure that hard schedule, meals must be very important after all.

Now, let’s eat!

We first gave a toast to YJ with the bottled beer, happy birthday! Next, we ate the homemade gyoza. Because they contain no garlic, they’re said to be popular with women and businessmen. We can nod in approval at the flavor and how YJ polished off two plates of gyoza.Next we picked up one rice ball which was considerable in size. The cod roe and mayonnaise sauce in the small dish was a superb pairing.

Lastly, was the awaited ramen. The pig bone soup which is cooked more than 20 hours has no odor, is creamy and is full of flavor. It contains plenty of vitamin B1, collagen, and calcium and though it is pig bone soup, it has a refreshing aftertaste. YJ is said to have eaten the lightly seasoned broth and the al dente noodles.

We couldn’t wait any longer! Please tell us about YJ.

“BYJ came here on June 8. It seems that he came here after the CM filming in Aoyama. There was a phone call before he arrived, asking if they 'could reserve the entire pl*ace', but I told them that our restaurant doesn’t have such a policy and I refused their request that first time.

After I hung up the phone, I started thinking and realized, could BYJ be perhaps Yonsama? But even so, we couldn’t accept reservations for private functions. I felt a bit regretful after that.

Then it was around 12:00 at night that 28 people thought to be staff members and associates came to the restaurant together with BYJ. Because there were very few customers, I specially allowed them to reserve the restaurant for two hours only.

When BYJ was about to leave, he came to greet me in Japanese, and said, “Oishi katta desu.” (it was delicious)

What are my impressions of BYJ? He showed consideration toward the staff, had a fun time talking with everyone, and I felt a sense of familiarity toward him, more than I thought I would."

But even though he said this, it seemed that the air flowing through that restaurant was different. Two weeks after BYJ visited the restaurant, 20 BYJ fans began visiting the restaurant daily.

The restaurant is often asked by fans, “Do you have a Yonsama meal?” but unfortunately, they do not offer such a meal. "Just as we were wondering what happened today when more than 70 fans visited the restaurant by 6 pm., we realized that it was BYJ’s birthday. What were our sales for that day? It was about 30-40,000 yen. We’re only a ramen restaurant.”

When you look at YJ’s Gosireh and Gorilla in the Kitchen or Raitei in Kamakura, we thought that this Men no Bou Toride would also be an expensive restaurant, but its atmosphere reminds us of BYJ’s role as Jaeho in HWRL when he worked in the fish market. It really is a restaurant for the common folks.

For YJ, who has difficulty moving about freely as he wishes, these few noisy, fun hours spent here with everyone should have turned into a very good memory for him. For us media on assignment, we felt as if we met a bit of the common-man YJ,and we left the restaurant filled with warm feelings.

พวกเราพากันเดินซอยเท้าเข้าไปภายในร้านราเมนในเขตชิบุย่าที่เบยงจุนเคยมารับประทานในช่วงที่เขามาญี่ญี่ปุ่นในเดือนมิถุนายนที่ผ่านมา ราเมนที่ยงจุนจัดการจนเกลี้ยงในตอนเที่ยงคืนนั้นรสชาติจะเป็นอย่างไรนะ

แต่เรายังมีเกี๊ยวซ่าอีกตั้งสองจานนะ เราต้องเชื่อตามบทความของraitei นับเดือนที่แล้วเลยว่า ยงจุนจะสามารถทานอาหารจำนวนมากขนาดนี้ได้ เพื่อที่จะสามารถอดทนต่อตารางงานอันหนักหนาสาหัส อาหารจึงนับว่ามีส่วนสำคัญทีเดียว เอาละ มาเริ่มทานกันเลย ขั้นแรกเราชวนกันดื่มเบียร์เพื่ออวยพรวันเกิดให้เขา สุขสันต์วันเกิดนะ ต่อมาเราก็เริ่มทานเกี๊ยวซ่าซึ่งทางร้านทำเอง เกี๊ยวซ่านี้ได้รับความนิยมในบรรดาคุณผู้หญิงและนักธุรกิจทั้งหลายเนื่องจากในนั้นไม่มีกระเทียม พวกเราพากันผงกศรีษะด้วยความชื่นชมในรสชาติ และเชื่อแล้วว่ายงจุนสามสามารถกวาดเกี๊ยวซ่าตั้ง 2 จานใหญ่ๆไปได้อย่างไร

ถัดมา เราก็เริ่มทานข้าวปั้นซึ่งมีขนาดคำใหญ่พอสมควรทีเดียว เนื้อปลาคอดและซอสมอยองเนสในอาหารจานเล็กๆจานนี้ช่างเข้ากันได้อย่างแสนวิเศษ ท้ายที่สุด ราเมนที่พวกเรารอคอยก็มาถึง ซุปกระดูกหมูซึ่งใช้เวลาเคี่ยวนานกว่า 20 ชั่วโมงนั้นไม่มีกลิ่นคาว เข้มข้นและถึงรสชาติอย่างยิ่ง มันอุดมไปด้วยวิตามินบี1 คอลลาเจน และแคลเซียม และถึงแม้ว่ามันจะทำมาจากกระดูกหมูแต่รสชาติของมันสดใหม่มากๆๆ หลังจากที่ได้ลิ้มลองแล้ว มีคนบอกว่ายงจุนนั้นทานซุปรสชาติเบาๆ ไม่จัดนักและราเมน เราอดใจรอไม่ไหวแล้ว ช่วยเล่าเรื่องยงจุนให้ฟังหน่อยคะ

ประมาณเที่ยงคืนของวันนั้น ก็มีคนที่ผมคิดว่าน่าจะเป็นบรรดาสต๊าฟและคนสนิทของเขา จำนวน 28 คนมาที่ร้านพร้อมกับเบยงจุน แต่เนื่องจากในตอนนั้นลูกค้ายังมีจำนวนไม่มากนัก ผมจึงอนุโลมให้เราจองทั้งร้านได้เพียงแค่สองชั่วโมงเท่านั้น แต่เมื่อเขากำลังจะกลับ เขาได้เดินมาหาผมและพูดกับผมด้วยภาษาญี่ปุ่นว่า โออิชิ คาตะ เดส ( อร่อยมากจริงๆครับ) ความประทับใจที่ผมมีต่อเบยงจุนเป็นอย่างไรหรือ เขาแสดงความใส่ใจห่วงใยต่อสต๊าฟและพูดคุยอย่างสนุกสนานกับทุกคน ผมรู้สึกได้ถึงความสนิทสนมคุ้นเคยที่ทุกคนมีต่อเขา มันมากกว่าที่ผมเคยคิดไว้นะครับ
